History
Common House was founded in 2017 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Located just off the downtown mall in the historic Mentor Lodge—originally a social club for the African American community of Vinegar Hill built in 1913—House No.1 was revived to serve as a gathering space for the broader city of Charlottesville.
