History

In partnership with Walk2Town Holdings, Common House revitalized the Southside’s iconic Industrial YMCA building located on 1517 Mitchell Avenue. Constructed in 1929, the building once served as a YMCA center until 1984. Common House restored the building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, back to its original beauty.

Preserving its stucco facade and wooden beaming, the 30,000 square-foot club features a social hall, restaurant, co-working spaces, full gym, outdoor pool, and more. Common House No. 3 was designed by Pfeffer Torode Architecture and BOCA Architectural & Interior Design.
