Member Engagement
As often as possible, try to encourage members to attend programs during your daily interactions. The best way to do this is by simply bringing up programs that are happening this week to members when you take their order.
Ex: “Good morning, Dave! Have you heard that we’re having Zikki Munyao give a talk about his charity efforts in Africa on Thursday night?”
Starting conversations with members about programs is the most organic way to drive attendance. However, if you can tailor your suggestions to each member, that makes it even more personal.
It’s also important to be mindful of what you suggest to which member, as you wouldn’t want to suggest a wine tasting program to a member who does not drink. Members are also more likely to attend a program if they know someone who will also be attending, or if they can bring a friend or significant other.
